Projektionist is based on 35mm slides photographed from projected gameplay of Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar Games, 2013), recording the light of the projection rather than the virtual environment directly.
The photobook does not document the slide installation but reconfigures the work through sequence. Gradual shifts in image type — from immersive scenes to structural interruptions and increasing material density — unfold across the pages. Page rhythm, the fold, and transitions between color and black-and-white shape the viewer's perception. Projection is translated once more from light in space to image in sequence, introducing a distance between observer and observed.
